tradicional do Caboclinho.
Bem vindo a Tribu
Marocaine.

A Recife, à Bomba do Hemetério, où j’ai déjà enregistré plusieurs

I showed the melody and bassline to Amine in Brussles and asked
him to play something Moroccan. I was afraid that I was hearing
something just like the war rhythm of the Caboclino’s from Recife
and he said he was playing a fast Ahoucha, something I already
knew is similar to an indigenous Brazilian rhythm. With this similarity
in mind, I went to Tilburg to record Simone Sou playing caracachá
- a traditional Caboclinho instrument. In Recife at the Bomba do
Hemetério, a place where I had recorded several tracks in the past
I recorded more elements of Caboclinhos and finally Marcelo’s sax
completed the piece. Welcome to ‘Tribu Marocaine’.
